I’m Stephanie Riesland, a photographer in the Creedmoor/Raleigh/Durham, NC.
I enjoy shooting portraits of families, babies, couples, events… heck, anything!

My initials, both by birth and by marriage, are SLR, which is how I know that I was born for photography.
Or maybe it’s just a fun coincidence…
Either way, though, I have enjoyed snapping shots ever since my parents bought me my first SLR camera over ten years ago. And really, I was taking pictures long before I had a camera. I love capturing images that tell a story.
Life moves so fast, and in a very real way, a photograph can stop time for a moment, and help put a tiny bit of perspective around what’s most important. I want to help people capture those moments — To create memories and images that will capture joy in the present and in years to come.
I am married to the most amazing man, Zachary. He is my partner in this life, in this endeavor, and helping me keep a balance in this craziness. I am the mother to Josiah and Kharis who bring so much light to my life and who I have the privilege of mothering as a full-time job.
I am also a follower of Jesus Christ and love being a part of the Summit Church, in Durham, NC. I play a small part in this huge story, which is all about Him. I hope that the pictures I capture will captivate His beauty. Whether capturing nature of families — all of it points back to Him.
