Celebrations

I was so excited this past weekend to share in Kharis turning 2. It is crazy how much time goes by. This little girl is spunky, compassionate, and full of grace. She is sweet and is always full of joy. So, what better way to celebrate then have a small family get together and have the camera out to get some fun photos. We usually watch the fireworks here and I thought it would be brilliant, but the grass was knee high. The kids didn’t seem to mind. They loved playing and running with daddy. We finished up down by the lake where the kids could throw rocks and just sit and watch the clouds together. My cup runneth over.

Give Me Faith

So, when you’re pregnant there are some things you have no control over. Your emotions, your body…

This past week we had our 2-D ultrasound. Zack and I have been through 2 already, so really it was no big deal to us. That morning I was in quite the mood. Giddy as a school girl. Excited about seeing our third baby on screen.

They check everything out, the spine, hands, feet, kidneys, heart, and brain. The last two times we have found out what the gender was going to be, but since we already have a boy and a girl, we wanted to be surprised this time.

Our nurse was super sweet. We were chatting back and forth through the whole procedure – her letting us know this looks good, that looks good.

Then she was all finished and told us the doctor would be with us in a minute…

We Are Thankful…

I am thankful for so many things today.

He is Risen!

He is Risen Indeed!

The resurrection by itself is something I thank God everyday for. When I think about my sin and how He chose me… you… my family…

It makes you stop and think about this life and how precious and fragile it all is.

This man right here I am thankful for.

He points me everyday to Jesus, he is my knight in shining armor and am more in love with him now than I ever was before.

So, today is Easter, and it reminds me all I have to be thankful for, but I was just wondering….

what holiday do you associate with “being thankful”? I hope you’re thinking turkey, mashed potatoes, yams, the works…

Because this Thanksgiving (November 22, 2012) is supposed to be our due date for Baby # 3, which we have tentatively named ‘punkin’.

So, will ‘it’ be more like ‘jellybean’?

Or another ‘peanut’ ?

We can’t wait to find out!
